Conor McGregor 'broke world record' filming Road House as incredible first trailer released

Conor McGregor claimed he broke a world record while filming Road House.

The first official trailer of the Road House remake has been released, with the film set to stream globally on Prime Video from March 21 in more than 240 territories.

The blockbuster is based on the 1989 film of the same name, which starred the late Patrick Swayze as a professional bouncer who is sent to work at a newly refurbished Missouri bar.

In a contemporary twist on the original, Jake Gyllenhaal will take the lead in the highly anticipated remake, playing an ex-UFC fighter who finds himself working at a bar in Florida.

The film’s official synopsis reads: "In this adrenaline-fuelled reimagining of the '80s cult classic, ex-UFC fighter Dalton takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems.”

McGregor took the opportunity to enter the acting world while recovering from a horrific broken leg suffered in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.

Making his acting debut, the 35-year-old claimed in a since-deleted tweet that the film has earned him a pretty penny.

Writing on X, formally Twitter, McGregor said: "I’m the highest-paid first-time actor of all time. Add that to the rest of my accolades.”

This week, while promoting the film’s trailer release the MMA star shared images of himself and Gyllenhaal from the movie set while declaring: “I hate to have to mess up that pretty face for you all”.

He added: “ROADHOUSE” official trailer out tomorrow.

"Director Doug Liman’s 'greatest movie yet!' Honoured to debut alongside such a stellar cast and crew! Thank you all! Here we go."

He added, in another Tweet to promote the trailer: "Fighting, acting, there’s nothing this Mac can’t do! Here’s the trailer featuring my brother, Jake Gyllenhaal, and me going toe-to-toe in the wildest action movie ever – Road House!
