What a moment.

When Jordan Miller composed a plea on Twitter to try and help her stepfather meet his hero Tiger Woods, she probably didn't expect such a huge response from the public.

"PLEASE RETWEET!! I need help making my step dads dream of meeting @TigerWoods come true." she said on the social media plaform.

"He has stage 4 lung cancer and is very sick. This would mean the absolute world to him. Please help me make this happen for him."

From Tiger Woods himself to the PGA Tour, Miller tagged everyone she could think of who could help realise her father's dream.

The tweet eventually gained a huge amount of traction, picking up over six thousand retweets in the space of a few days. It eventually found its way to Tiger Woods' girlfriend, Erica Herman and the dream began to look like a reality.

"By the end I think they were hearing about it from multiple different angles," Miller told Yahoo Sports. "But it was Erica that made it really happen."

Earlier this week, Columbia native Shane Caldwell - who is battling Stage 4 lung cancer - finally met his idol and it' was an emotional scene all round.

Shane didn't know what was going on until he arrived at the driving range to watch Woods in action.

"I didn't tell him, because I didn't want to get his hopes up, and I needed him to sleep that night," Miller continued. "But when Erica came and stood next to him, he started to think something was up."

Woods would come over and sign his glove, and spoke to his biggest fan. What a moment.

The power of social media is a wonderful thing.
