It's been 25 years since we saw Happy Gilmore swinging his way around the golf tour, to eventually topple Shooter McGavin at the Tour Championship, on the 18th hole.
There may not have been a better sporting comeback in the years since, certainly there's not been too many more, and even Tiger Woods would admit his victory in the 2019 Masters doesn't quite cut it.

However it's been a long time and Gilmore hasn't been in action, since putting what seemed like an impossible shot, one the PGA probably shouldn't have made him take, on the 18th green.
To celebrate the quarter century anniversary since his momentous day, Gilmore, or Adam Sandler as he's known to hide his fame, took to the golf course to prove he's still got it.
And not to be outdone, at least not on this occasion, McGavin even responded to show that he's also still got the skills.
It might be a long time ago since Gilmore was dancing, shouting and swearing his way down the fairways and onto the greens of the golf tour but he's remained relevant.

In fact, back in 2015, golfer John Peterson decided to do the Gilmore swing during a tournament.
The American was struggling during the CIMB Classic and was in dead last when he got to the 1st tee in the fourth round.
Peterson let rip from the tee, in a way Happy would have been proud of, and went round in just 66, absolutely brilliant!
Happy 25th Anniversary Happy, let's hope you're still swinging in 25 years from now!
