Kyle Walker Gets In On Brilliant Harry Maguire Meme After Sweden Victory

Kyle Walker Gets In On Brilliant Harry Maguire Meme After Sweden Victory

No matter what happens to England between now and July 15th it's pretty safe to assume Harry Maguire will forever be a cult hero, the man has his own meme and even his teammates are getting involved.

England have reached the World Cup semi-finals for the first time since 1990 and it feels good.

Well, strange. Good strange. Like an adolescent boy copping his first formative snog, we're not sure if it's meant to feel like this, but bloody hell does it feel good.

Some might say that the great change in this team as opposed to earlier iterations of England is the togetherness, the sublimation to the collective rather than the drive for individual plaudits.

One of the best ways to understand the level of camaraderie between the England players has been by following their social media feeds, which have been filled with absolute gold - mostly the players ripping good-natured strips off each other.

Kyle Walker, within moments of the final whistle in today's win over Sweden, proved his bantability with a hilarious with a superb dig at goalscoring hero Harry Maguire.

"Yeah so a good header doesn't hurt. I mean the moment you head it proper, you feel it's a good one. Know what I mean love?" he wrote, with a picture of Maguire chatting to an uninterested looking lady from the crowd.

Seconds before that, he'd also tweeted a photo of himself with his fingers in his ears alongside the caption: "When you can't get 'it's coming home' theme tune out your head."
