Wenger Reunites With Former Player In Emotional Video

Liverpool's AXA Training Ground was the scene of Arsene Wenger and Oxlade-Chamerlain reuniting this week as the former Gunners boss was visiting to present manager Jurgen Klopp and a selection of the club's players with FIFA Awards.

'Here we go' shouted Liverpool full back Andy Robertson in the video, seeing the pair embrace in the midst what will have been some emotional energy. Wenger played a key part in Oxlade-Chamberlain's career bringing him to Arsenal from Southampton in

The video also shows the man accompanying Mr. Wenger telling Oxlade-Chamberlain, 28, that his former boss was watching him closely during the team's match preparation towards Saturday's match against Chelsea at Anfield with Wenger telling the player he looked sharp.

Its good to see the 71-year-old back on the training pitch. Now, he is working as FIFA's Chief of Global Development. He was at the AXA Training Centre in Merseyside to present Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Thiago Alcantara trophies to mark their inclusion in the 2020 FIFA FIFPro Men's World11. Manager Jurgen Klopp was presented with the 2020 Best FIFA Men's Coach.

Oxlade-Chamberlain who has just become a father will be looking to contribute as Liverpool contend for honours this season after more frustrating injuries which also blighted his time as an Arsenal player between 2011-2017.

It will have been wholesome for him to see both Wenger and Jurgen Klopp, who he stated was the biggest attraction when deciding to leave North London, back in 2017.

"I felt the main thing was taking myself out of my comfort zone. That's why Liverpool shouted out for me. He's (Klopp) very inspirational, passionate, involved and intense. I felt that was something that could gee me up. You can see from how the team play how he instils that intensity in the players. I feel like that kick up the backside would be good for me."

Whilst Oxlade-Chamberlain won three FA Cup's under Wenger, his move has undeniably been justified with him and adding both a Champions League and Premier League title to his name.
