Victor Wanyama Confirms Transfer In Most Bizarre Way

Interesting audience.

Two years ago Southampton saw Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw, Dejan Lovren, Calum Chambers, Rickie Lambert and Mauricio Pochettino but managed for it not to affect them too much. Now they've lost Ronald Koeman they'll be hoping to keep hold of as many players as possible.

Koeman has moved onto Everton and the Saints will be hoping that their brilliant setup means they'll feel minimal impact as they did when Pochettino left for Spurs, where he in turn has done a brilliant job. The last thing they want is to be gutted of their best players.

However one player who has long been linked with a move away from the Saints is Victor Wanyama and the midfielder apparently leaked news of his move to the most bizarre audience that's ever been on the end of exclusive transfer news.

According to South African newsagent SuperSport the former Celtic midfielder was back home in his native Kenya when he revealed the news of his move to Tottenham to inmates in a Kenyan prison.

The 24 year old has been linked with a move to North London for a couple of seasons to either Spurs or rivals Arsenal but with Arsene Wenger's side having signed Granit Xhaka and Tottenham being managed by Pochettino it makes sense that he'd be heading to White Hart Lane.

Revealing transfer news exclusively to prisoners is certainly a new one on us.
