Poor Philippe Coutinho, put away under lock and key by Jurgen Klopp and not allowed to leave, he then picked up a back injury but his national team still made him fly to Brazil. But a strange thing has happened.
The next three days could be a long time in Philippe Coutinho's life as he waits to see if Liverpool relent in their stance to not let him go, at this point you'd think they were mad not to take the near £130 million on offer.

Firstly that's a lot of money for any player, as good as Coutinho can be on his day, on top of which Liverpool looked very good against Arsenal at the weekend without the need of the former Inter man.
Lastly Coutinho clearly doesn't want to be there anymore and just think of how the money could improve Jurgen Klopp's side. There is some good news for the Reds should they decide not to sell though, he's completely cured of all his ailments.

The 25 year-old has been missing from the Liverpool squad so far this season because of a back injury but that didn't stop Brazil calling him up to the squad to face Ecuador this week.
And, as reported by the Mirror, Rodrigo Lasmar, the doctor for the Brazil national team, has said of Coutinho's injury, "From a medical point of view, Philippe is in the perfect condition to play."

Another doctor for the team Michael Simoni, who is also a lifelong friend of the player, backed up the claims and said the injury wasn't muscle related at all saying, "Coutinho back problem? He is okay now. The back problem was a matter of stress, it was something emotional.
"The uncertainty about his future led him to feeling stressed. Everything is solved now. Coutinho and I are friends since years, I always treat his medical cases. All he needed was someone to give him a pep talk."
Coutinho's recovery is so miraculous you've got to assume that he's been to see Christ the Redeemer for some sort of spiritual healing, although having walked up there myself I have to assume he got a taxi if he's now fitter than before.
