Somehow Portugal are through to the semi-finals of Euro 2016. Without winning a game in normal time and having been ahead for roughly three minutes in the whole tournament they are one game from the final. And whilst his performances might not have been up to much, Cristiano Ronaldo's ability to gob is magical.
It's not possible for Ronaldo to be anonymous in any game simply because his demonstrative complaining and inability to let anyone else take a free-kick despite missing what is getting close to 50 free-kicks in tournament history means he'll always be in the limelight despite only being half-way decent for around 40 minutes of the Euros so far.
Last night was no different as he missed several chances you'd expect him to bag and looked out of sorts. Despite that he still managed to score Portugal's first penalty in the shoot-out and more impressively he managed to phlegm up with perfect timing to create the Euro 2016 logo:
Now that's real precision and takes years of practice. Give up on the free-kicks Cris, you've found your new calling.
