Premier League Player Wants NFL Career After Football

Premier League Player Wants NFL Career After Football

Interesting career choice.

Normally when a Premier League player retires he goes into a punditry position, and nine times out of 10 is awful, or he decides to go into coaching and well it's a similar outcome. But one player fancies his chances as an NFL kicker.

Kickers in American football tend to be on the pitch for roughly 13 seconds a match and get paid a hell of a lot for their goal kicking ability.

With that in mind it's not a total surprise that Leicester City's Christian Fuchs, one of our favourite footballers in the world, is taken by the idea of rocking up to America to play NFL once his footballing career is done, that's real football by the by:

"I have this ambition to be an NFL kicker. If NFL managers want a footballer in their team, I know I can kick a 60 yard Field Goal. Let's see, if you don't dream you won't achieve anything."

The Austrian has been in excellent form this season and will be hoping to head to the Euros this summer as a Premier League champion.

It's surprising more footballers haven't thought of the idea of earning a hell of a lot of money for slotting the ball between the posts in the NFL after their careers are over, Emile Heskey surely would have been an expert.
