Ivan Perisic Spends His Holiday Making Beach Volleyball Debut For Croatia
I'm pretty certain you've spent the entire time since football stopped for the summer thinking about what footballers do on their holidays. Well finally I'm here to tell you about Ivan Perisic.
Of course the football season never really ends, after World Cup qualifiers and friendlies we had the under 20s World Cup and now the Confederations Cup and European u21 Championships. Soon they'll be over and there'll be like a week until the glamour friendlies kick-off again.
I'm not really complaining about the constant run of football, hell it keeps me in a job after all, but I can't help but feel sorry for the multi millionaires who spend the season training for a couple of hours a day before golfing or gaming with mates for the rest of the time.
Some of Messi's mates on their way to his wedding.
With so little time to holiday just what do with their time?
Well some of them have been spotted, wait for it, actually eating dinner and enjoying themselves!!! Good lord, stop the presses and report on this stuff guys.
Other footballers even have the luxury of having time to get married. People getting married you say? Who'd have thought it. Mazel Tov by the way Mr Messi if you happen to be reading this.
However Ivan Perisic is not like other footballers. He took time out of the busy schedule of reading articles about whether or not he's moving to Manchester United to make his professional beach volleyball debut in Croatia where he represented his country:

Perisic and partner Nikša Dell'Orco played in the Poreč Major, one of beach volleyball's most prestigious tournaments. Unfortunately for the pair they lost two a pair of Brazilian Olympians 21-10, 21-10 and to an American pair 21-11, 21-16.
After the matches the Inter winger said, "This was always my dream. I have been playing beach volleyball since I was 10. I'm very passionate about this game and every summer I have been practising with my friend in Split."
Someone better tell Ivan there's no beaches in Manchester...
