As well as his brilliant comments about Emmanuel Adebayor which detailed the striker's true laziness, Brede Hangeland also provided his lazy XI of Premier League talent and current Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha was named in that very team.

To give Zaha's angry reaction some context, Hangeland said the following about his former teammate: "Some Mondays, he'd come over to me and say: 'I'm starting my programme now!' He'd do five push-ups, sigh, then leave. He would have been incredible if he was serious."

Despite Hangeland then saying: "Amazing physique, athletic, huge potential.", Zaha quickly took to social media to express his anger at the former Crystal Palace defender's comments.

Zaha said: "I don't appreciate old team mates telling lies just to stay relevant! It's sad." on Twitter, then posted another tweet shortly after saying: "We all have different bodies so because I'm not constantly in the gym or doing the same as someone else doesn't mean I don't work hard."

Hangeland said the following about former teammate Emmanuel Adebayor:

Only played with him for 6 months but a quick story. I played for Fulham and he played for Spurs. We were attacking and I was marking Adebayor in midfield."

Suddenly he says, 'Ahhh, I'm hungry'. I replied, 'What?'"

(Adebayor said:) 'I can't wait for the game to finish, I'm so hungry. Do you know a good restaurant in London, Hangeland?'"

"Later when he came to Palace I started to realise where this came from. When we had strength workouts he would sit in the gym with just a cup of coffee and a muffin. He was being paid by City, Tottenham and Palace at the same time, and he was sitting in the gym drinking coffee. Incredible natural talent, very lazy."

Incredible.
