Watch: Diego Perotti Gets Too Close To Stephan El Shaarawy During Goal Celebration

At least the Italian striker saw the funny side

You could forgive Roma's players for getting a bit carried away with themselves after last night's thumping 3-0 victory over Chelsea. The Serie A giants outplayed the lifeless Premier League champions and could have easily inflicted a much more embarrassing defeat on Antonio Conte's men. But one player seemed to enjoy the performance a bit more than everyone else.

In fact, Diego Perotti got down right weird with Stephan El-Shaarawy after the Italian striker opened the scoring with an incredible half volley after just 39 seconds.

At least El-Shaarawy sees the funny side of the celebration, although I don't think getting a surprise prostate exam is a particularly pleasant way of celebrating a goal, no matter how good it is (the goal, not the surprise prostate exam).

Perotti didn't seem to revive the same antics after El-Shaarawy's second goal later on in the first half, nor did El-Shaarawy return the favour when Perotti extended Roma's lead in the second period.

Maybe just do a high five or a big hug in the future, lads? Would probably be a lot more sanitary. And much less invasive.

Last night's result leaves Eusebio Di Francesco's men in pole position to qualify from Champions League Group C, having taken eight points from their opening four games, five points clear of third placed Atletico Madrid, who could only draw 1-1 with Qarabag at the Wanda Metropolitano, last night.
