Lyon Owner Seems Strangely Obsessed With American Alex Morgan

Lyon Owner Seems Strangely Obsessed With American Alex Morgan

Dude, play it cool!

Look we've all done it, become a little bit too obsessed with a girl we liked and sent one too many texts before they've replied and scared them off. That's if there was actually any chance in the first place. But Lyon owner Jean-Michel Aulas really needs to calm down.

The 67 year old owns French football side Lyon and as well as winning Ligue 1 seven times in-a-row between 2002 and 2008 he is also in charge of Lyon's ladies side.

And the ladies have an even better record than their male counterparts early century success. They've won the women's league for the past 10 seasons, won the French cup eight times since 2003 and three Champions Leagues since 2010, with two further runners up finishes in Europe's premier competition.

So it makes sense if you have the best women's team around you'd court the biggest name on the women's football scene. As documented by Howler magazine, Aulas has been trying a bit too hard when it comes to America's Alex Morgan.

The first time the man 40 years the player's senior got in contact was to randomly tag Morgan in a post about Lyon's new stadium:

Then he got in touch on social media again to say, "The best American players could play with the best European team: Olympique Lyonnais."

And then he just kept tagging her in some random posts that had nothing to to with the striker:

If that wasn't bad enough then the Frenchman just kept replying to tweets from the World Cup and Olympic champion:

Seriously none of the tweets he's replying to have anything to do with Jean-Michel and Lyon. Some of them don't even have anything to do with football!

The guy really needs to chill out, he's lucky she hasn't blocked him!
