There's some very random celebrity fans of football clubs around, and some even actually support that team unlike certain politicians. Gerard Butler may have a new team to support after helping them celebrate.

Supporting your local team is always great but there's also something fun about going to see a team in Europe just for the fun of it. I recently went to Koln to see them nearly relegated in a draw against Schalke.

Check out our list of some of football's most famous fans:

On your travels you can get to see some wonderful sights in European football and if you're a movie star then those sights can stretch to getting into the changing room after a side have won their local derby.

That's what happened for Hollywood actor Gerard Butler. The Scottish actor is currently in the middle of filming the third installment of the Olympus Has Fallen franchise, following on from Olympus and London, and that saw him based in Sofia.

Whilst in Bulgaria's capital he popped along to help Levski celebrate their victory in the Bulgarian Cup semi-final against local rivals CSKA and set up a final against Slavia Sofia on April 9th, although it remains to be seen if Butler will once again be in the crowd:

Butler does have a big interest in football and is a Celtic fan, having grown up in Glasgow, and played for the Hoops in a charity match in 2011.

He also a stake in Caribbean Premier League cricket team Jamaica Tallawah, which he brought in 2013.

Now he can add Levski to the list of teams he supports.
