Garth Crooks Weirdly Takes Credit For Tiemoue Bakayoko's Change Of Hairstyle

The former Spurs player turned pundit is having his own personal war on hairstyles and took it to a weird place.

Garth Crooks really does hate people having colour in their hair and it's all getting a bit odd. The BBC pundit took it to new levels when he claimed he was the reason behind Tiemoue Bakayoko's change of hair.

Okay so after pointing out Martin Keown's own ridiculous statement, about Everton's upcoming match with West Ham, earlier this morning I want to say I've nothing against the BBC pundits but boy can they be a strange lot.

We used to have almost weekly posts about former Spurs player Garth Crooks and his team of the week articles that he wrote for BBC Sport. The Final Score pundit would often make some very strange picks.

As well as the picks themselves he'd always choose a weird formation and play players completely out of position, at one point it felt like he was doing it on purpose.

Then Crooks stopped being weird about his selections and started being weird about hair. First he wouldn't let it drop about Paul Pogba's hair and then he turned his attention to Tiemoue Bakayoko's hair.

This weekend the Chelsea midfielder had dropped his blue colouring and somehow whilst picking Cesar Azpilicueta in his team of the week Crooks slipped in a line about how his words helped get rid of the blue in Bakayoko's hair:

"I'm also delighted the Spain international took my advice some weeks ago and told Tiemoue Bakayoko to get rid of that ridiculous blue rinse in his hair, and get down to working hard in training to produce the form that got him a move to the Bridge in the first place.

"The Frenchman can play but must realise that distractions like fancy hairstyles don't help when you want to be taken seriously."

I'm not quite sure how you go from praising a right back for his performance to praising him for making sure his teammates hair is no longer blue and also taking credit for it yourself. Or care that he has blue hair for that matter.

The colouring of hair has become quite the obsession for Crooks who previously said about the former Monaco player, "The time and effort it must take the Frenchman to manicure and dye his hair - it was blue this week, and I dread to think what colour it will be next week - could be far better spent either on the training pitch or perfecting his English."

It's almost like players aren't allowed to go to the barbers. Get a grip Garth, it's just hair.
