West Ham are attempting to land the services of a Chelsea striker who enjoyed a brilliant term last season but didn't play a game for the Blues.

There's been plenty of striker activity since the end of the season within the Chelsea camp. After firing on all cylinders, it appears Diego Costa is edging a move away from Stamford Bridge.

And is set to be replaced by Everton goal machine Romelu Lukaku who is on the verge of completing a move back to the club following an impressive campaign at Goodison.

Lukaku's international compatriot Michy Batshuayi also remains subject to intense transfer speculation with West Ham even showing signs of interest. But it's another Chelsea striker who Slaven Blic is hoping of luring to East-London.

As well as Costa's goals, two members of Chelsea's loan army were regularly finding the back of net at home and abroad.

Tammy Abraham single handily saved Bristol City from plummeting to League One by bagging 23 league goals.

After smashing England's second tier, a loan move to the Premier League beckons as Chelsea are keen to offer him experience while holding onto him.

Newly-minted promoted duo Newcastle and Brighton, among others, have expressed an interest in taking the 19-year-old phenom on loan ahead of the new season.

Not to mention Bertrand Traore. According to the Mirror, West Ham are plotting a £17 million bid after the budding striker impressed on loan at Ajax.

The 21-year-old enjoyed plenty of first-team football under Peter Bozc who subsequently was appointed as Borussia Dortmund head coach.

Traore joined the Chelsea academy before graduating to the first team but rose to prominence last season at Ajax where he starred for Bozc's side.

The Burkina Faso international netted 13 goals in all competitions as he helped his side to the Europa League final.

Though The Hammers face competition from Everton who are reportedly seeking Traore as part of the Lukaku deal. But Bilic is prepared to offer £17 million for the talented youngster.
