Managers across the Premier League are recruiting new talent ahead of the 2017/18 season

And while West Bromwich Albion secured themselves a top half finish, Tony Pulis remains hellbent on drafting in new players to strengthen his current squad.

Reports suggest that Pulis is looking to Inter Milan for a potential new signing.

According to several reports via Sky Italia, West Brom are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Andrea Ranocchia.

It's believed a £4.5 million offer will lure him from Milan to the Midlands as Pulis seeks to bolster his defence.

The Italian defender is subject to plenty of attention from England's top flight following a loan stint at Hull City last season.

As well as West Brom, Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town are also interesting in acquiring his services as David Wagner looks to continue to spend money after gaining promotion to the footballing promise land.

Not to mention Genoa. The Serie A side are keen on re-signing Ranocchia after selling him to Inter back in 2010.

Thought the 29-year-old, who still has two years left on his current Inter contract, is keen on continuing to ply his trade in England.

His future at the iconic San Siro appears to be numbered. Following the appointment of Luciano Spalletti, the new gaffer has deemed him surplus to requirements.

Ranocchia boasts a wealth of experience having plied his trade in Italy's top flight for several years. He also has 21 international caps to his name.

Is he a good signing for Pulis and West Brom?
