Watford look set to boost their chances of Premier League survival with the signing of Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu on loan until the end of the current season.

Already in this transfer window Watford have taken steps to try and keep their Premier League future in their own hands by sacking highly rated but underperforming manager Marco Silva and replacing him with Javi Garcia.

At the beginning of the season the Hornets were flying high and Richarlison's form, along with that of his teammates, was certainly catching the eye of every fan going.

Even when Silva was sacked there were those bringing up the fact that the club were in mid table and shouldn't have been sacked but the Hertfordshire club are only four points clear of the relegation zone currently.

Now Barcelona have confirmed that Gerard Deulofeu will return to the Premier League just a year after leaving Everton, to join Watford on loan till the end of the season.

The 23 year old has only been back at the Camp Nou since the summer but the signing of Ousmane Dembele was always likely to instantly reduce his chances of game time.

The Frenchman's subsequent injury didn't even help him and he's only played 503 minutes of football in La Liga so far this term.

Is it a good signing for Watford?
