How Much Prices For Most Valuable Players In The World Have Dropped

The global pandemic could have a massive effect on the transfer market this summer, with clubs low on funds and prices plummeting.

Whenever this summer's transfer window opens it could be very different to the last few years with player values dropping massively and teams likely to have less money to spend.

Whether it's a loss of television money, a loss of gate receipts or both, football clubs are likely to have less money to spend this year.

However with the issue striking clubs across the world, it means that transfers are still likely to happen just with less money involved and that's exactly why values for players will drop.

According to CIES Observatory the fall in values could be up to 28% across the top five leagues in Europe and according to Transfermarkt those values have already started to drop.

Most estimated player fees have already dropped by 20% according to the stats and transfer website but younger players have only dropped 10% because they're still very valuable in the market.

The loss in value is especially interesting for players like Jadon Sancho who had previously been expected to leave for big money in the summer.
