Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian are hellbent on snapping up a striker from England that they're even preparing to table an offer for a Championship striker!

From Diego Costa to Chris Wood.

Tianjin Quanjian have identified the Leeds United frontman as a surprise alternative for the Premier League goal-machine, according to the Mirror.

Wood, like Costa, is also experiencing a rich vain of form this campaign. The big Kiwi has bagged 17 league goals as the fallen-English giants sit in third in the table.

The much-traveled 25-year-old has featured for a host of sides including not one but SIX loan spells while on the books at West Brom.

Barnsley, Brighton, Birmingham City, Bristol City, Millwall and Leicester City have all boasted of his services, not to mention Ipswich Town after the Foxes signed him up.

But it's his time at Elland Road which is yielding his best return. Wood is finally realising his potential scoring 30 goals in 66 appearances in all competitions since moving in 2015.

Former Swansea boss Garry Monk is working wonders at Leeds as they mount a promotion push back to the top-flight, though this news will come as a blow.

Needless to say, Monk will be hoping his star man remains with the club.

Will Wood be enticed by the lucrative offer? Or will he stay in Yorkshire? Watch this space.
