How do you follow Shakespeare? Wordsworth? Miller? Pinter? Eliot? Or possibly David Moyes? Well a new candidate has emerged from out of the blue to become the new Leicester City manager.
It is just over two years since Leicester City became the unlikeliest of league champions in any country in a long time as they completely upset the applecart to become Premier League champions by 10 points.
Since then the Foxes have lived in a weird limbo of what to expect and what they want, possibly falling short of both. And have seen two managers sacked, despite a decent run in the Champions League for both those managers.

With Leicester in the relegation zone last season title winning boss Claudio Ranieri was sacked, in the same position this season his assistant manager and successor Craig Shakespeare was given the old heave ho.
Now they are looking for a new permanent boss with Michael Appleton in interim charge. According to the Mirror there is a surprise name in contention at the King Power Stadium. The newspaper reports that Guadalajara boss Matias Almeyda is in with a shot at the job.
Being a manager in Mexico and having previously managed in Argentina with Banfield and River Plate might make Almeyda a bit of an unknown quantity as a manager but he will be more well remembered as a player.

The former midfielder played for Parma and Inter Milan in Italy and was also part of the Argentina side who played in the 1998 World Cup against England and at the 2002 edition along with Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Chivas CEO Jose Luis Higuera admitted that his manager could leave, telling ESPN, "There is the risk that Matias Almeyda gets up and decides to go, even though he has a contract."
Leicester had previously been linked with Carlo Ancelotti, Thomas Tuchel and Sean Dyche with all three of those managers now linked with the vacant Everton job since Ronald Koeman's sacking yesterday.
