Spurs Ready £50 Million Bid To Beat Manchester United To Premier League Ace

United might possibly be cooling their interest on the Spurs manager but they want one of their summer transfer window targets.

Tottenham Hotspur managed to go through two transfer windows without buying a single player but Mauricio Pochettino might be about to beat Manchester United to a £50 million Premier League target in the summer.

Spurs are currently in the race for the Premier League title. It's worth saying 'currently' because recently everytime the North London side have got within striking distance of Liverpool and Manchester City they've just as quickly dropped points.

It's quite impressive that Spurs are doing so well in the league this season considering that they didn't spend a single penny in the transfer window, either last summer or last month.

Despite the array of talent Poch hasn't had it easy either with recent injuries, including Harry Kane being out for several weeks, and Son Heung-min being away on international duty.

But the former Southampton manager has continued to impress and keep his side in the hunt for a first Premier League title, being just two points behind second place Manchester City.

After not signing anyone this year and the fact that by the summer they'll have finally moved into their new stadium the Spurs boss might actually have money to spend this summer.

According to the Mirror the Argentine is set to kick off his spending in pre season with a £50 million move for young Bournemouth winger David Brooks, in order to beat Manchester United to the signing.

Pochettino was interested in Brooks last summer but he moved to Bournemouth from Sheffield United for just £11.5 million.

Not even one year on and the 21 year old Welshman has impressed so much in the top tier that two of the country's biggest clubs are eyeing a move for him.

The former Manchester City youth product can play in multiple positions across the midfield and would fit into Pochettino's policy of playing young attacking players.

It's still unknown whether or not the former Espanyol defender will still be in charge at the new White Hart Lane next season.

The 46 year old was considered the leading candidate to take the permanent manager's position at Old Trafford in the summer but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's start to his interim job may have changed things.

Should Pochettino stay and Spurs sign Brooks it could be a double blow to United but perhaps the Bournemouth player will be joining the champions by that point.
