Mauricio Pochettino is resigned to losing Kyle Walker ahead of the new season so he's preparing accordingly by eyeing up a replacement.

Walker remains subject to mounting speculation regarding a move to Premier League rivals, Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola is hopeful of continuing his summer splurge by drafting in Walker not to mention Southampon's Ryan Bertrand.

Though the hold-up in the deal is the transfer fee. Spurs are holding out for a reported £60 million but it does appear Walker has played his final game in a lily-white shirt.

With a potential transfer away from North London seemingly in the works, Pochettino is in the hunt for a full-back to fill his void.

And reports suggest the Argentine boss has set his cross-hairs on Paris-Saint Germain's Serge Aurier, per French outlet RMC Sport.

The 24-year-old has two years left on his current PSG contract with reports claiming a move away from the French capital could be an option.

After joining the European giants on an initial loan deal, the club swiftly signed him on a permanent following his impressive outings.

Since then, Aurier has continued to deliver from the flanks garnering plenty of interest from around Europe including the Premier League.

Manchester United and Arsenal both expressed a desire to lure the defender to England before the deal fell through.

Not to mention Man City. They're also set to pursue the Ivorian international should they ultimately fail to secure the transfer of Walker.

Aurier has won countless domestic honours at PSG while also racking up a wealth of experience in the Champions League.

With Spurs set to enter Europe's elite competition next season, Pochettino is hopeful of buying players who have knowledge of the tournament following their dismal campaign last season.
