Alexis Sanchez Could Make Move To Inter To End Manchester United Nightmare

The Manchester United forward's time at Old Trafford has been nothing short of a disaster for both player and club for 18 months.

Alexis Sanchez could be tinkling the ivories again this summer with Inter reportedly willing to end his time at Manchester United, but only if the forward is willing to take a pay cut.

It's less than 18 months ago that Alexis Sanchez was the top priority for both Manchester United and Manchester to sign. It was seen as a victory for Jose Mourinho when he beat Pep Guardiola to the signing.

Things have not gone well for Sanchez, Mourinho or United since that signing and the Chilean, despite still being at the club unlike his former manager, might be in the worst situation of the lot.

This season Sanchez has scored just two goals, one in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup, and he's only started eight league games.

On Wednesday night against Manchester City he once again showed how poor he's been in a United shirt with one touch in his 13 minute cameo in the derby.

Sanchez would surely be top of any clear out of United players in the summer and now it seems he has an actual out.

According to the Independent, Serie A side Inter would be willing to make an offer for Sanchez but would only sign him if he drops his wages.

The former Arsenal forward is on around £500,000 a week, when bonuses are taken into account, and that would be a sticking point for most teams.

Even in form most clubs wouldn't be able to pay that much but PSG, who used to be interested and would be able to afford it, aren't interested because of his form since moving to Manchester.

Sanchez's wages have caused quite a few issues for the Red Devils with other players comparing their worth to the team to the Chilean's wages.

David de Gea reportedly wants similar money to the former Barcelona player after winning the club's Player of the Year award four times in five years, although his recent form doesn't suggest he's worth that much.

After 18 months of abject failure United fans, management and Sanchez himself would likely welcome a reason for him to play the piano once again.

Will Sanchez move to Inter?
