Erling Haaland will join Bayern Munich next summer if he isn't allowed to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, that's the threat being held over the striker's club by his agent.

Haaland is one of the most wanted players on the planet right now, every team in the world would be improved by the striker playing for them.

The 20-year-old, with 37 goals in 38 appearances this season, has a transfer release clause believed to be between €75 million and €100 million, but it doesn't come into play until 2022.

Dortmund could miss out on Champions League football next season, with the team currently outside the top four, but, according to ESPN, there's nothing in his contract that means that could trigger a move this year.

Reports have linked Haaland to a move this summer but Dortmund will be holding out for big money as they don't want to sell the Norwegian.

However, according to Caught Offside reporter Leah Smith, Raiola is threatening to take his client to Dortmund's rivals Bayern next summer if he's not allowed to leave this year.

In recent years, Mats Hummels, Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski all made the move from Dortmund to their rivals Bayern, damaging one and strengthening the others grip on the Bundesliga in one swoop.

The last thing Dortmund would want is yet another huge name making the move, especially one who has the potential to at least equal Lewandowski's importance to the German champions, if not overtake it.

Bayern could trigger Haaland's release clause next summer, as they did with Gotze's €37 million release clause in 2013, just months before the two sides met in the Champions League final, but so could any other team.

Raiola obviously has a big say on where the former Red Bull Salzburg striker ends up, as does his father Alf Inge Haaland, and the pair have already met Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Real president Florentino Perez namechecked the striker as one player, along with Kylian Mbappe, his club couldn't sign without the invention of the European Super League, the heart bleeds.

Premier League trio Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been linked with potential moves for the striker this summer.

Fans don't tend to love Raiola's brash style at the best of times, this latest threat will only make him more unpopular apart from with the team Haaland ends up at.
