Mauricio Pochettino is Real Madrid's number one target to take over from Zinedine Zidane after the Frenchman's surprising decision to quit yesterday but the Champions League winners will have to pay a lot of money to get him.
The football world was shook yesterday as Zinedine Zidane reacted to winning his third Champions League in a row, the first manager ever to do so, by deciding to quit as manager of Real Madrid.
It came completely out of the blue with the Frenchman having only been given a new contract at the beginning of the season that took him to 2020.
Now Los Blancos will be on the hunt for a new manager and despite the pressure surely anyone and everyone would be falling over themselves to get the job.

The one man who has been linked with the job before is Spurs' Mauricio Pochettino who has done wonders with the Premier League side, firmly embedding them into the league's top four.
Pochettino is reportedly Real's top target to take over the reigns but he only signed just signed a new five year deal and according to the Times that means Spurs will demand £42.5 million compensation to allow their manager to lead.
Chairman Daniel Levy is a shrewd negotiator when it comes to transfers and usually demands the top price he could possibly squeeze out of another club so it's no wonder he'd want such a big price for Pochettino.

The Argentine is the fulcrum of the club's revolution and they would be worried about players leaving if the manager does. The £42.5 million would equate to the full value of his contract.
Despite rumours to the contrary there is no release clause in the 46 year old's contract to allow him to leave if Real or PSG come calling.
Pochettino is one of the hottest properties in management with what he's done with Spurs over the last few years, after previously doing well with Southampton.

He has already ruled out managing Barcelona having played for Espanyol but Manchester United and PSG, as well as Real, remain linked with him.
Should Real pay such a big transfer fee to get him?
