Real Madrid have edged closer to signing Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois after it's been reported that the Belgium shot stopper has agreed a deal with the Champions League winners.
Ever since Real Madrid tried and failed to sign David de Gea in the summer of 2015 the Spanish giants have been trying to replace Keylor Navas with any number of big name goalkeepers, usually starting with De Gea.
Navas has been in net for Real during their three Champions League wins in the last three years but that hasn't stopped the incessant rumours that Florentino Perez was ready to replace him, even if Zinedine Zidane was happy with the Costa Rican.

With Zidane gone though the rumours have intensified again this summer with both Alisson and Thibaut Courtois the strongest linked with the position at the Bernabeu, now it seems Los Blancos have got their man.
According to the Daily Mail the player and the buying club have agreed terms on a deal meaning that only the negotiation between the two clubs will need to be completed for the move to happen.
It's long been reported the Courtois would like to return to Madrid, having spent three season as Atletico Madrid's number one on loan before returning to Chelsea.

The 26 year old only has one year left on his contract and it's unlikely that he will sign a new deal so reportedly could be available for around £30-35 million but no deal has been struck between Chelsea and Real. However if the keeper has agreed terms with Real then the Blues must have given him permission to talk to them.
Courtois has just come off a brilliant World Cup with Belgium where he helped them reach the semi finals, before losing to eventual winners France, and won the Golden Glove award for best keeper.
The Mail go on to say that if Real fail to sign Courtois then they will target fellow Premier League goalie Hugo Lloris in a potential £60 million move, although they also report that it's unlikely Daniel Levy will allow the Frenchman to leave.
