There's nothing like uncovering a hidden gem of talent on Football Manager and if the game really knows its stuff, as it often does, then PSV are in for a treat when their new signing joins at the end of the season.

Depending how old you are, and when you came the football management franchise, you'll have a certain name in mind when someone says 'Football Manager legend' to you, be it Freddy Adu, Kim Kallstrom, Maxim Tsigalko, Cherno Sambo or one of the many others.

The game now has the best scouting network on the globe so the chances of getting an Adu, who end up selling vacuum cleaners rather than winning Champions Leagues, are less than they've ever been.

So picking up a Football Manager wonderkid now should come with a guarantee of success, or at least that's what Eredivisie leaders PSV are hoping after announcing their latest signing.

Using FM18 they showed their workings to sign Argentine young striker Maximiliano Romero with the deal to be done at the end of the season.

The video shows that the Velez Sarfield striker will join in the summer of 2018 in a deal worth £2.2 million and his contract will run till June 2023 and he will earn over 9,000-a-week, with a signing on fee of £267,000

The 18 year old has scored four goals in 10 games so far this season, has been linked with numerous European clubs in the past and has been brilliant for Benfica on my recent save.

Romero spoke to the club's website on officially signing for his new club saying, "PSV is my first club outside Argentina and it is a great way to gain experience.

"After consulting my father and agent, I have decided to continue my career abroad. I've scored a lot of goals for Vélez in Argentina, so I hope I can do it here as well and please the fans."

And manager Philip Cocus said the chance to sign the 18 year-old was too good to turn down, saying, "We have seen him in action several times and we think that he, as a number nine, has the ability to be a genuine goal threat in the Eredivisie.

"He is a physically strong, clinical striker and is comfortable dribbling and shooting with both feet. He is only eighteen years of age, but is a technical sound and skilful player. He has great potential and we couldn't waste the golden opportunity to sign him."
