Imagine trying to get game time at PSG in attacking positions. Never mind the lethal trio of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani there's also the likes of Julian Draxler and Angel di Maria. It's no wonder the club want to sell Lucas Moura.
It's not like PSG didn't have a good team last season. Sure they'd just lost Zlatan Ibrahimovic and actually failed to win Ligue 1 but Monaco lost most of their players in the summer so this season was bound to be different.
However they then completely changed the game by setting a world record fee for Neymar and just when you thought that might be enough they also signed Monaco's Kylian Mbappe to equip themselves with one of the best striker forces on the planet.
So it's no wonder that ever since then the likes of Draxler, Di Maria and Moura have been linked with moves away from the club, especially with the Parisians reportedly needing to sell to pass FFP.
Several sides are reportedly interested in taking Moura away from the French capital in this transfer window, although only on loan, but the player only has eyes for one of those teams:
Bordeaux, Nantes, OGC Nice, Real Betis & Manchester United are interested in signing PSG winger Lucas Moura, according to Téléfoot.- Get French Football (@GFFN) January 7, 2018
The problem? PSG want to sell, all interested parties want a loan; of those sides, Lucas Moura is only interested in Manchester United, according to Téléfoot.- Get French Football (@GFFN) January 7, 2018
United have long been admirers of the Brazilian with their interest stretching back to the Sir Alex Ferguson days, although the Scot wouldn't pay so much for a teenager at the time.
Jose Mourinho does want more options on the wing, especially as Henrikh Mkhitaryan's time at Old Trafford could be numbered.
One of the other clubs reportedly interested in Moura could also be linked to United. The Red Devils have been rumoured to have interest in Bordeaux's Malcolm so the French club might be eyeing Moura as a replacement.
Will the Brazilian leave this month?
