PSG Join Manchester United In Race For Signing

The French club are ready to splash the cash in competition with Jose Mourinho.

Jose Mourinho has complained he's not had enough money to spend at Manchester United, a claim that is ludicrous, but he'll be even more annoyed if PSG are allowed to jump ahead of him for one of his targets.

Since joining Manchester United the former Chelsea manager has twice broken the clubs transfer record by signing Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku, as well as spending an extra £140 million on other players.

There's no doubt that Jose has improved the side since the Louis van Gaal days but he's still under pressure and has suggested it's because he hasn't had enough money to spend.

It's certain that the Red Devils have had issue at full back with former winger Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia their most effective players in those positions but Mourinho faces huge competition for one of his targets, now including from PSG.

According to the Mirror Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon is now interesting the Ligue 1 leaders, whilst Spurs and Manchester City have already shown interest in the 17 year old left-back, who can also play further forward.

The paper claims that the Parisians are 'desperate' to sign the teenager having watched him on numerous occasions and the young Englishman's ability to speak French would certainly be a boost to the oil rich side's interest in the player.

Despite his young age he already has 52 appearances to his name in the Championship and the west London club could ask for up to £30 million, especially if interest in his services grows.

Spurs tried to sign him in the summer but he remained at Craven Cottage and the Cottagers would undoubtedly like to keep him at least until the summer but could sell in January if the price was right.

United's need for a left back could well depend on whether or not Mourinho is ever likely to start trusting Luke Shaw to play on a regular basis or if the former Southampton player will have to leave to find first team football.

The former Champions League winner also has a long standing interest in Spurs' Danny Rose but reportedly United don't want to spend the £40-50 million the 27 year old would cost.

Where will Sessegnon end up?
