Premier League Side Chase Mario Gotze

Premier League Side Chase Mario Gotze

Would this be a good signing?

After moving to one of the best teams in world football to play with one of the best managers and scoring the winner in the World Cup final in one year you'd have thought Mario Gotze's career would have skyrocketed but just hasn't. Now he could be on his way to England.

Gotze made that path seemingly often trodden when he moved from Borussia Dortmund to Bayern Munich in 2013 to work with Pep Guardiola and then scored the only goal in the World Cup final against Argentina.

But the attacking midfielder hasn't pushed on and last season only started 11 Bundesliga games scoring three times and assisting four goals.

It was thought he'd be staying at the Allianz Arena under Carlo Ancelotti but according to Bild Spurs have joined the race with Borussia Dortmund to sign the player.

Jurgen Klopp was linked with a reunion with his former Dortmund player but those links seems to have gone cold and the Champions League football that Spurs could offer would be preferred by the player.

Do you think it would be a good move for the player and the club? Comment below.
