The Chinese Super League have already acquired some of the biggest names in Europe. From Carlos Tevez, Oscar to Hulk, to name but a few. Though Shanghai SIPG are now after a Premier League flop who's now plying his trade in the Championship.
Jordan Ayew is reportedly set to quit Aston Villa in favour of being apart of the Chinese revolution. Shanghai are plotting a move for the £12 million rated striker.
The club are interested in snapping up Ayew but will have to fend off competition from other CSL clubs, as well as teams from Ligue 1, who are also keeping tabs on the 25-year-old.

Following Villa's nightmare season in the Premier League last season which eventually culminated with relegation to the Championship, Ayew took a hefty pay-cut but now has the opportunity to be once again earning big money.
Despite his supposed valuation, Villa are expected to hold out for £10 million, the same price they brought him for. The potential transfer outgoing could pave the way for new talents during this month.

Meanwhile, Ayew is currently on international duty with Ghana as they vie for the African Cup of Nations, and could return to Birmingham after January depending on their results.
