Player You Forgot Was At Chelsea To Sign New Deal

There's so many Blues players that go out on loan it's easy to lose track of them all.

There's apparently a 'Whatsapp' group amongst the Chelsea players out on loan and it must be nearly full. One of those players is set to get a lot of congratulatory messages as he nears a new deal with the Blues.

You can have 256 people in a Whatsapp group and the only reason I can think for that is if you're putting all your contacts in one group just to annoy everyone.

Otherwise who could actually have a need for THAT many people to talk to each other, I'm in one group of 51 people and that's far too many.

One group that will have plenty more than that 51 and seems like it could be closer to the 256 is the one with all of Chelsea's on loan players, there's so many we all lose track of them.

According to Estadio Deportivo, via Tutto Mercato, one of those players, midfielder Mario Pašalić, is about to sign a new four year deal at Stamford Bridge ahead of his latest loan move.

The 22 year old joined from Hajduk Split in 2014 and has played zero games fro the Blues up to now, spending all three years up to now on loan.

He spent his first year 'in England' playing for Spanish side Elche before moving to Monaco in his second year as a Chelsea player.

Last year he moved to Italy to play for AC Milan where he played 23 times in Serie A and scored five goals for Vincenzo Montella's side before the Italian's mad spending spree this summer.

Pasalic, whose current deal only lasts till the end of next season, will be going out on loan to Real Betis once he's signed his new deal.

Lazio were interested in signing him temporarily too but the signing of Lucas Leiva has put an end to that.

The rest of the loanees will be glad not to lose the young midfielder's banter.
