Phil Neville Picks His Manchester United XI For Next Season

Lots of people will have their own thoughts on how Manchester United will line up next season and Phil Neville has chosen some big names to make his prefered XI for the Red Devils.

Manchester United are the subject of many transfer rumours, possibly more than any other club. United love to spend money, are one of the biggest clubs in the world and can always be used to get a player a brand new contract.

This summer will be no different with a new manager, although it'll probably be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and possibly a director of football in place at Old Trafford.

Already the transfer rumours have started and Jadon Sancho is reportedly United's top target, with the Premier League side apparently willing to spend around £100 million to bring the Borussia Dortmund player back to England.

It's also likely that the 12 time Premier League winners will sign a centre back, after all Jose Mourinho was desperate for one before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over.

But exactly how many players and which players United sign is anyone's guess. Class of 92 member Phil Neville gave it a go with his preferred XI for next season, it doesn't include Sancho though as Gareth Bale is his preferred right winger:

Of the signings Neville would make Raphael Varane has reportedly decided he'd like to leave Real Madrid in favour of a new challenge, Eric Dier was wanted by Mourinho and reportedly his first choice before Nemanja Matic came in, Philippe Coutinho has already been linked and Bale will likely leave Real in the summer too.

It would cost a fair whack to sign all those players with Varane worth around £100 million alone.

However if Neville's XI seems fanciful at best than Matt Holland's team is even more incredible. The former Ireland midfielder wants to see Varane be joined by Kalidou Koulibaly in defence.

In midfield he wants N'Golo Kante and Paul Pogba to reprise their World Cup winning partnership and he'd then have Sancho joined by Antoine Griezmann in a new look attack with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, very attacking indeed!

Who do you think United will sign in the summer?
