One Match Decided Whether Alexis Sanchez Would Stay At Arsenal
Alexis Sanchez is likely going to be on his way out of Arsenal in the next two transfer windows, with his contract up at the end of the season, but he might be staying if it wasn't for one match.
Arsenal could have made £60 million in the summer for Alexis Sanchez. Manchester City and PSG both wanted the Chilean forward to add to their already ridiculously attack line ups.
However it wasn't until the last day of the transfer window that City decided to make their bid for the forward and Arsene Wenger was too scared that his deal for Thomas Lemar wouldn't pan out so the move never happened.

It seems unlikely that anything will change now with the only questions being where he'll end up and exactly when that will be, January or the summer.
Most rumours seem to suggest that his new home will be the Etihad but it won't be until the summer, when City can sign him for nothing.
But things could have been very different, in fact he'd already agreed a deal 12 months ago. According to the Times the former Barcelona forward shook on a deal last December but changed his mind after the 10-2 aggregate shallaking against Bayern Munich.

Arsenal had been in talks for months with Sanchez about signing an extended deal and it looks like he had every intention of sticking around at the Emirates.
Then though came further Champions League embarrassment. The Bundesliga won 5-1 in both legs, sending Arsenal out of the competition at the last 16 once again.
It seems that loss made the two time Copa America winner renege on his word and decide that he wanted to join Manchester City.

Lord knows just where he fits in at the Emirates but there has been rumours that Sergio Aguero may leave the Etihad in the summer.
If the north west isn't his new location then the other option is apparently PSG but then there's no evident space for him there either.
If it wasn't for Bayern Munich then we wouldn't be in this situation!
