Neymar Has Decided He Wants To Leave PSG This Summer

Neymar has apparently changed his mind on his future with Ligue 1 champions PSG and wants to leave France just two years after arriving as the most expensive player ever.

Two summers ago Neymar changed the entire landscape of football transfers when he moved from Barcelona to PSG for an incredible record breaking £198 million move, beating the previous record by about £100 million.

Ever since then transfer prices have skyrocketed with numerous other transfer records falling by the wayside, like the record for a goalkeeper falling twice in a week last summer when it hadn't previously been beaten since Gianluigi Buffon moved from Parma to Juventus in 2001.

However life hasn't been smooth sailing for Neymar in France, despite the back to back league titles, and talk has often been about him moving on again.

The 27 year old's high wages wouldn't be matched by many so he was reportedly unlikely to league the French capital.

However according to Le10Sport the former Barca man has recently changed his mind about staying with PSG and would like to leave as early as possible.

That news could alert Real Madrid who have previously been interested in signing the former Santos forward, both before he joined Barcelona and PSG.

The French champions continued problems in Europe, where they have failed to get out of the last 16, have turned Neymar's head in the direction of the exit door.

Last season the team lost to Real Madrid in the knockout stages but this season they came up against Manchester United at the same stage and were expected to go through.

They won 2-0 at Old Trafford in the first leg and even scored at home but became the first team to win the first leg 2-0 away and go out, thanks to Marcus Rashford's last minute controversial penalty.

PSG would likely want to at least recuperate the money they spent on Neymar if they were to sell him in the summer.

Zinedine Zidane's side would be favourites as they're one of the few teams who could come close to matching his wages whilst they need an overhaul after losing Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.
