Is Hughes' Stoke revolution about to add a Premier League winner?

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is mulling over the idea of bringing Robin van Persie back to the Premier League.

The Dutch forward has been subject to intense transfer speculation with newly-promoted-free-spenders Boro reportedly interested though the Potters remain favourites to acquire his services.

Hughes has made no secrets about enhancing his strikeforce after submitting a £20 million bid - I'm no longer surprised about these crazy inflated prices - for West Brom's Saido Berahino while chasing 'RVP'.

When asked about the proposition of the 32-year-old gracing the Bet365 Stadium, the Welshman replied by saying;

"We're looking to address key areas in the team that we feel we can improve on and if those players become available then we're interested. We've put bids in but as we stand they haven't been accepted, but we're hopeful."

The former Arsenal and Manchester United star is currently plying his trade in Turkey with Fenerbahce where he amassed 48 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 22 goals.

Stoke are also close to finalising a deal for Ramadan Sobhi who's being dubbed as the 'Egyptian Mess' while they continue to pursue other attacking options.
