Ryan Giggs isn't happy about Manchester United's recent transfer activity.

He's named the two players the club should've signed, while also revealing the three players who should've never been sold.

After a glittering trophy laden career as a player, Giggs became United's No.2 under Louis van Gaal.

Though the Dutchman's tenure wasn't successful, despite winning the FA Cup, and was eventually sacked with United drafting in Jose Mourinho.

And Giggs has recalled his stint with the ex-Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss.

From naming the two stars United missed the chance to sign, as well as players who shouldn't have moved on from Old Trafford.

"I watched Gabriel Jesus play three years ago. I watched Mbappé for a year. I was watching them with the scout and it was a no-brainer," Giggs told The Times.

"It was just like, 'Get them.' It would have been £5 million or something - get them, loan them back - and that's where the recruitment could have been better.

Jesus ultimately signed for cross-town rivals City, and, as for Mbappe, he penned a whopping transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

Imagine if United had snapped either of them up for just '£5 million'?!

United have seen plenty of new faces come through the door, and, conversely, seen many head for the exit as they embark new challenges.

And Giggs has pin pointed the sales of Rafael, Danny Welbeck and Jonny Evans as a mistake.

"There have been a lot who have come through that haven't been United players and also players who were United players and shouldn't have left.

"I'm talking about Rafael [Da Silva], [Danny] Welbeck, Jonny Evans - players who are United through and through.

Him and van Gaal would even butt heads over the clubs transfer policy.

"It was hard because Louis had his own ideas and you had to respect that, but, yes, we had a few arguments about a couple of them.

"He understood [my position] because I had played with those lads, but they just weren't for him.

"Some of them, like Welbeck, wanted to play more regularly, and Jonny had a few injuries at the time, so you could understand it, but - and it's not saying it in hindsight - recruitment hasn't been great either," Giggs added.

Should United have kept the likes of Rafael, Welbeck and Evans?
