Real Madrid Set To Confirm First Signing Of The Summer

Real Madrid Set To Confirm First Signing Of The Summer

Who will be next?

A summer of football, players impressing in a tournament and a wallet full of money. With Florentino Perez' burning pockets it can't be too long till he's making a phone call to David Sullivan about Dimitri Payet but before that he's set to confirm another signing.

Perez has barely met a transfer window he didn't like with his move for David de Gea last summer possibly the one time that he's finished a month of transfer madness disappointed. The Real Madrid president loves a big money move having invented the Galacticos.

Before any big names come in to the Bernabeu this summer though the man with the cash is set to sign young Lazio forward Keita Balde to La Liga. The 21 year-old Senegalese forward is born in Spain.

Born in Catalonia, Keita is somewhat ironically a Barcelona youth product but lost his place in the academy after a stupid prank on a teammate and he was sent on loan to Segunda B club UE Cornellà who are a feeder club for the La Liga giants and was sold on to Lazio after he refused to return to La Masia after his loan spell.

Balde will sign a five year deal with Los Blancos, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, although no fee is reported and it's not known whether or not Zinedine Zidane has plans to use him in his first team this season or if he'll be sent somewhere on loan.

This season he didn't pull up too many trees scoring five times in 40 appearances, many from wide left.
