After taking Angel Di Maria off Manchester United's hands, last year, PSG are eyeing up another United ace with a precarious future at Old Trafford.
Bastian Schweinsteiger is rumoured to be on Jose Mourinho's chopping block, with injuries plaguing the second half of his debut season with United. The Germany captain doesn't exactly have age on his side, either and with Mourinho desperately trying to tempt Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford, it could be the former Bayern Munich man who has to make way for the young Frenchman.
Despite signing Sevilla's Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, the French champions are believed to require another central midfielder and someone who can potentially make for a commanding captain, following the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the likely sale of Blaise Matuidi. Senior figures at the club believe Schweinsteiger fits that role perfectly.
The German midfielder has two years left on his contract at Old Trafford.
