The six-time Ballon d'Or winner is seeking a move away from the Camp Nou with Manchester City interested in snapping him up.

But the player's father says he doesn't know about City's interest and says "there's nothing" yet insists his future at Barcelona is "difficult."

When Deportes Cuatro asked how he sees Messi's future, he replied: "The future at Barça, difficult, difficult. It's difficult for Leo to stay."

Asked if Man City is a good option, he said: "I don't know, there is nothing."

And he dismissed claims that he spoke to Pep Guardiola: "I didn't talk to Pep. No, with nobody."
