David De Gea remains heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United, with Real Madrid circling around the superb Spanish stopper.

But they've received a huge boost in their bid to keep the 27-year-old.

Real Madrid failed to sign De Gea a few summers ago after a tax machine mishap. They've reportedly since tabled several offers with United hellbent on their stance - he's not for sale.

He continues to be subject to intense transfer speculation.

Though Real Madrid's latest transfer activity appears to be good news for United and Jose Mourinho, alike.

The defending Spanish and European champions are closing in on the January purchase of Kepa Arrizabalaga according to reports via Bleacher Report.

Though Athletic Bilbao's No. 1 is set to complete his move to Real Madrid following the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup.

As a result, Real Madrid will make second choice keeper Casilla surplus to requirements ahead of the transfer market reopening.

They've made clubs aware of his availability with Premier League side Newcastle United believed to be keen on signing him.
