Adding two players of such high class will boost Solskjaer's chances of finally ending the 13 times Premier League champions' four year barren spell without a trophy.
However, according to reports, the manager was given a £100 million transfer budget, which he's now spent on those two deals, and will need to sell in order to buy anyone else.
According to ESPN, there is nine fringe players that the Red Devils would be willing to part for, for the right price, without Paul Pogba's potential availability brought into the mix.
Jesse Lingard, Brandon Williams, Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones, Alex Telles, Andreas Pereira, Daniel James and Axel Tuanzebe are all said to be available.
The list doesn't include Pogba, whose contract expires at the end of the upcoming season, when he could then walk away from the club for nothing, for the second time in his career.

According to reports, the France midfielder has already turned down an offer for a new contract from the club and is 'open' to a move to PSG.
United still want the 28-year-old to stay beyond next summer but if he won't sign a new deal then they would look to sell him.
The Premier League side want around £50 million for the World Cup winner and would use that money to fund their future deals.
Having captured their first choice right winger and centre back, two positions the Europa League losing finalists were desperate to strengthen, United are also targeting a defensive midfielder and a right back.

Eduardo Camavinga, Leon Goretzka and Ruben Neves have all been linked with a move to Old Trafford, as Solskjaer considers a move to 4-3-3.
In the past the manager has used both Scott McTominay and Fred in deeper roles, known as the McFred pivot, but with a stronger defence he prefers just one player in front of his back four.
At right back, Kieran Trippier has been heavily linked with a move back to England from Atletico Madrid and he wants a return to the north west.
