Manchester City may have spent the debt of a third world country on about forty full-backs this summer, but Pep Guardiola still has two more targets he wants to bring to the Etihad Stadium before the transfer window closes on 31st August.

City have so far signed Ederson, Bernardo Silva, Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy and Danilo this summer for a combined total of £210 million, but Guardiola is still keen on bolstering his squad further as he looks to compete on four fronts, this season following a trophyless debut campaign as City manager.

And the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss will target two Premier League players to finalise his squad for the season.

Long term target Alexis Sanchez, who is still yet to sign a new deal at Arsenal, with less than 12 months remaining on his current deal, is one of the players Guardiola hopes to lure to Eastlands, while former Manchester United defender Jonny Evans, who emerged as a shock target for the two time Premier League champions, last week, is the second.

City had an £18 million bid for Evans knocked back by West Bromwich Albion last week, but are expected to return with an improved offer this week, with the Baggies holding out for at least £30 million for the Northern Ireland centre-half.

Guardiola is also keen on a reunion with former Barcelona star Sanchez and has, according to the Mirror sanctioned a £70 million move for the Chilean forward, who is reportedly unsettled at the Emirates Stadium and would prefer to be playing for a club that can offer him Champions League football, something which Arsenal cannot currently do having finished fifth in the Premier League, last season.

Arsene Wenger has declared numerous times that Sanchez will not be sold, but Arsenal's board may think differently to their manager should a £70 million offer for the 28-year-old come their way.

Should Sanchez leave North London for East Manchester, the Chilean would become the latest Arsenal star to trade the Gunners for City, with Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna and Kolo Toure all making the switch in recent years.

City fans, would you be happy with Sanchez and Evans as your final two arrivals of the summer or do you believe the club's money would be better spent elsewhere?
