Liverpool Have Offered Marouane Fellaini A Three-Year Contract

What is going on?!

At this point, with his contract up in the summer, it's surely a given that Marouane Fellaini will be leaving Manchester United this summer.

Galatasaray, Besiktas, Roma and Paris Saint-Germain have all been heavily linked with the Belgium midfielder but now, in the most surprising transfer news in a long time, reports from L'Equipe say Liverpool have not only registered an interest in the 30-year old but they have a three-year contract on the table for him. Madness!

With Emre Can looking likely to move on for nothing in the summer, you'd think the Reds are on the look for a central midfielder.

Yet there are about 300 midfield players better suited to their playing style than Fellaini.

Throw in the fact he currently plays for Manchester United - and he is a former Everton player and you have potentially one of the most unpopular signings ever. It literally doesn't make any sense at all.

Since making the move to Old Trafford in 2013, Fellaini has made 151 appearances for United, scoring 19 goals and lifting three trophies.

Is this rumour going in the bullshit bin? Sound off in the comments.
