The Chelsea captain looks set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season

The future of John Terry has been the subject of much debate and confusion ever since the Chelsea captain announced that the club would not be renewing his contract at the end of the season. The claim is one the Blues board refute and now no one really knows whether or not the former England captain will actually be at Stamford Bridge or not for the 2016/17 campaign.

One place Terry won't be, however, is China as he will reportedly snub a mega money offer to join the likes of Ezeuqiel Lavezzi, Alex Teixeira and former teammate Ramires in favour of a move to either Qatar or MLS.

It is believed clubs in China were prepared to offer Terry an incredible £20m-a-year contract in order to lure him to the Far East but it is more likely that the Blues' captain will look to the Middle East, where his fellow Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola is currently managing Al-Arabi, or America where other Chelsea alumni Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole have moved to in the past year.
