Ever since he announced that he would be leaving Stamford Bridge when his contract expires in the Summer, John Terry's future has been the subject of much speculation, with the strongest rumours suggesting the Chelsea captain will join his ex-Blues teammates Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard in MLS. However, it would appear Terry is set for a much more surprising move.

The Mirror are today reporting that the ex-England captain is set for a move to Danish club Brondby, where he will become their player/manager for next season. The club's manager Thomas Frank quit last weekend following a row with chairman Jan Bech Andersen, who Terry happens to be close friends with.

Back in 2014, Terry spoke to Norwegian channel TV2 about his fondness for Brondby and his friendship with Andersen, saying "It could be - one day. After my matches for Chelsea the first thing I check out is what has happened with Brondby. I want that it goes well for the team and for Jan. He is so passionate about football, and he has already changed a heck lot of things, and they are going up. For me it is great to see."

On top of this, Terry also followed the Danish club on Instagram last month.
