Hot on the heels of securing the signature of former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has identified another midfielder that he wants to tempt to the Etihad and for Arsenal fans, it's going to bring about a feeling of deja vu.
According to The Sun, the former Bayern and Barcelona manager wants to sign Jack Wilshere, which would expand the list of players who have made the switch from the Emirates to the Etihad to six, following the transfers of Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor, Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri in recent seasons.
Wilshere had reportedly been a target for former City boss Manuel Pellegrini, though Arsene Wenger resisted the Citizens' overtures for the 24-year-old England international. However, despite this past failure to sign Wilshere and the midfielder's history of serious injury problems, Guardiola wants to partner him with Gundogan in a new look central midfield partnership, with Yaya Toure likely to be heading for the exit door following another poor season.

It is also believed that the recent arrival of Granit Xhaka at the Emirates has made the Gunners more open to the sale of Wilshere.
