David Alaba Has Told Bayern Munich The Club He Wants To Join

The season is almost over which means the transfer window is upon us. The latest transfer rumour involves Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, who has reportedly told the German club that he wants to leave to join Barcelona.

Alaba is reportedly a top target for Barcelona, with scouts tracking the defender. Mundo Deportivo claim that not only have the European champions contacted the 23-year-old but they have established that that he would like to play for the Catalan side.

Alaba has reportedly told Barca that he wants to play in midfield.

The pacey Austrian has told the exact same to Bayern but it seems the signing of Renato Sanches may dampen his chances of breaking into the Bayern midfield.

David Alaba believes that playing at the back is preventing him from showing his true ability.

Luis Enrique will have to splash the cash if he wants to land Alaba, who signed a contract at Bayern Munich until 2021 back in March.
