Chelsea Make Monstrous Offer For Romelu Lukaku

Like WWE Hall of Famer 'Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase used to say, "Everybody's got a price" and it looks as though Chelsea might have just matched Everton's for Romelu Lukaku.

It was reported that the Blues had a £57m offer turned down for their former striker earlier this week and have now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Ivan Zazzaroni, upped their offer to a monumental £75m.

Chelsea sold Lukaku to the Toffees for £28m, back in 2014 and, while the Belgian's return wouldn't exactly be 'Ultimate Warrior returning at WrestleMania 8' levels of exciting, it would still be a return that would generate plenty of optimism around Stamford Bridge, given Lukaku's terrific goal scoring record since leaving London for Merseyside.

But, despite his fine goal scoring form and relatively young age, Lukaku does have plenty of detractors who cite his lack of work ethic and tendency to drift out of games, which was evident on a couple of occasions during Belgium's disappointing Euro 2016 showing.

It is believed Lukaku could be brought in to replace Diego Costa, who is being heavily tipped to leave Stamford Bridge, this Summer.
